We were asked the other day why Northern European wood is used in our log cabins.

The answer is that the wood from colder northern European climates grows slower. It is more dense and if you were to count the rings, on a cut through, you will see that the wood grows very little in each year. For the trunk of the tree to reach a certain diameter, this northern European wood will take many more years.

All this means that the wood is perfect for the construction of log cabin building. It is both very strong and also will last for many, many years.

Here at Cabinville one of the most popular uses of the cabins that we sell are for Home Offices.

Log cabins are perfect as a office. If you take a look at the cost to rent a small office elsewhere you will find that the cost is expensive - business rates that you or the landlord will have to pay will keep it that way. Aluminium Greenhouse

Yes, it's that time of the year again when our thoughts turn to things we would like to achieve in the garden.
At the top of many gardeners list is the need to grow more plants from seed and to produce more vegetables. With this in mind, March and April are the months when the majority of greenhouse sales occur.
Here at cabinville we are often asked if we can supply greenhouses. I guess that we are asked as previous customers like to turn to suppliers that they know and trust. Well, whilst we love all things and structures for the garden, we are really specialists of garden log cabins and do not supply greenhouses - either wooden (red cedar) or aluminium.
That said, we do like to point our customers to great suppliers and we are happy to suggest that they visit the people over at aluminium greenhouse for details of their greenhouse range.
